WWDC 2011: Apple (Update)

So Steve Jobs took the stage for Apple at WWDC and got into his phase of competitiveness by comparing with other brands and as usual showing off their statistics.

Phil showed us Mac OSX Lion and demoed a few features like Resume, Air Drop, new Mail and so on, and it was well just as expected.... very good!
iOS 5 really surprised not just me but everyone, new notifications(which were expected) in the same pull down bar like Android but yet again Apple revolutionized it. They added Reminders, split keyboard, new Photo Editing features, improved other things too! Reminders reminds you what you have to do in a better way and you can set to remind you to do something when you leave a place or arrive at a place using Location Services.
"We just looked into the software and thought of why people go to a PC and we put those functionalities in iOS" yep, they sure did and now you dont even have to plug an iOS device into a Computer after you buy it you can just set it up on the go, which makes the World entering the Post-PC era official. The funny thing is that the went a step further to bring Wireless Syncing so you would never have to worry about pluging in your device to a Computer, just set it on charge wherever you want(either dock it or plug it in to a AC outlet) your device will automatically start Syncing and backing up your data. Finally, no one believed it but BlackBerry is officially dead or will be thanks to Apple releasing its Messaging app called iMessage through which you can talk to any iDevice for free, you can send chats, photos, videos and contacts. Apple also integrated Twitter so where ever you are in Apple's apps you can just tweet from the place, add locations to your tweets. News stand gathers all your News paper subscriptions and magazine subscriptions and adds it to one place in a similar way of iBooks.

Apple also released iCloud, Jobs was up on stage to present it and it is truly amazing. Every song or app you purchase, every song or movie you download and every document or presentation you make will wirelessly and automatically transfer on to your other devices, either its an iPhone, iPad or a Mac. It makes life a lot easier. Apple provides a 5GB storage space in the Cloud which excludes storage of apps and music
The developer preview for Mac OSX Lion and iOS 5 are available right now, while a beta of the iCloud is on right now and you can check it out in the Music App, Apps Store and iTunes.
