When Apple next announces their financial results, they should have close to $70 billion in the bank, which means they would be able to buy all their competitior manufacturers except for Samsung. That list includes HTC, Nokia, RIM, LG, Motorola, Sony Ericsson(Google and Microsoft aren't manufacturers they are platform vendors) While market value of phone vendors declines, Apple grows and they will one day have more cash than the entire phone industry. 

Apple is offering Unlocked iPhone 4's for $649. You can use it with any Apple supported carrier, in the US like AT&T, T-Mobile and so on. The 16GB is for $649 and the 32GB is for $749. Those prices are supported as long as you are having it shipped to a US address. What do you think about Apple offering the unlocked version of the iPhone 5? Is anyone going to order one?

I know that this is a blog that is usually about Apple and so on but after seeing this I just could not let it through without a post. I don't think words are enough for this concept, so go ahead and just see the video for yourself... The cabin and overall design of it is just amazing, but this see-through plane would sure do the same to your wallet! That's for sure.

Summer 2011 is the season of hacking, a few of Sony's websites and PSN hacked and now Codemasters website has become a target from hackers. Independent UK developer Codemasters, responsible for titles like Dirt 3 and Formula 1 2010, has reported that ten of thousands of personal accounts were compromised on June 3rd  exposing the names, addresses (physical and emails), birthdays, phone numbers, Xbox gamer tags, biographies and passwords of registered users. Payment information wasn't compromised but with all that information that was accessed people will be furious. The website was turned offline as soon as the threat was detected . Those who were directly effected are being emailed apologies while the rest of us are being appointed to the company's Facebook page. We'll keep you updated if anything else pops up.

It's the usual drill, Apple introduces a new product in Cupertino and another company having the same name takes them to court. Well, it happened again, this time with iCloud. Arizona based company iCloud Communications use the logo above and offer VoIP equipment and service provider, though in court documents it also seems to be a cloud computing company. By now we all know that there is just gonna be a nice little settelment out of court but we'll let you know if anything serious breaks out.

So Steve Jobs took the stage for Apple at WWDC and got into his phase of competitiveness by comparing with other brands and as usual showing off their statistics. Phil showed us Mac OSX Lion and demoed a few features like Resume, Air Drop, new Mail and so on, and it was well just as expected.... very good! iOS 5 really surprised not just me but everyone, new notifications(which were expected) in the same pull down bar like Android but yet again Apple revolutionized it. They added Reminders, split keyboard, new Photo Editing features, improved other things too! Reminders reminds you what you have to do in a better way and you can set to remind you to do something when you leave a place or arrive at a place using Location Services.  "We just looked into the software and thought of why people go to a PC and we put those functionalities in iOS" yep, they sure did and now you dont even have to plug an iOS device into a Computer after you buy it you can just set it up on the go

HP's CEO Leo Apotheker has said at D9 that he will not hesitate in licensing their webOS to other handset manufacturers. When casually talking about the future of webOS on non-HP handsets, he noted that the firm was looking to license webOS to various other hardware manufacturers.

Windows 8 was showed off recently and well "Windows lost all of its windows" Microsoft decided to blend up Windows 7 with the mobile version of Windows an I personally think that Microsoft can't expect to blend both of these up and think it would work. So it would work on a touchscreen device perfectly but what will they do for those people with normal laptops who cant afford to buy a Mac, well, for them it's time to start praying for their future.

Microsoft's Computex keynote today was all about the software giant's expansive portfolio of current offerings, but was started off with a promise: a partner preview event for the next version of windows is coming up tomorrow. Stay tuned for more info.

PreCentral got its hand on QuickSpecs sheet of the HP TouchPad, but what is interesting is that it has a date at the bottom. June 12 is what it says, there have been other leaks of pricing. A major retailer priced the TouchPad at $499-$599 depending on the hard drive size. The HP TouchPad is said to be the iPad's biggest contender, but thats what every one says.

It is said that Steve Jobs will be the one to unveil OSX Lion, iOS 5 and iCloud at WWDC 2011 on Monday. Will the brilliant SJ be there or will developers cover most of the event?

Samsung's Galaxy S device stripped of 3G and the calling functionality or the Galaxy S WiFi as known in some countries or just the Galaxy Player has been priced at $270 which is quite close to the base model iPod touch's price. The Samsung Galaxy Player(this one has) 8GB of memory, a 5 inch touchscreen, two cameras(a VGA front one and a 3.0 megapixel rear one), a microSD card slot and a FM tuner.

iWork was available for the iPad since the device launched, but now Apple has brought it to the iPhone and iPod touch. Of course it includes Numbers, Pages and Keynote, $9.99 apiece. Current users can upgrade for free.

The ASUS Padfone has been announced and well we just love it, as you would expect from the name its a phone that has an accessory of a tablet. The tablet contains a latch which is opened to find an HDMI connector and all those small bits. Although due to be released during the Christmas, ASUS has big plans for it. They plan to release it with the newest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, the slate acts as a display, a set of speakers and an extra battery.

Apple is said to be testing A5 chips in their MacBook Air's, at least that's what   Macotakara, a Japanese website claims. Would Apple really be testing their MacBook Air's with their mobile-minded A5 chips. We do know that it can pack a punch of power, seen in the iPad 2. According to someone who has seen the model with the A5 processor, the performance is better than had been thought.  With the rumour of a refresh of the MacBook Air's featuring Thunderbolt and Intel's Sandy Bridge 17W mobile processors still fresh people will begin to doubt if there really will be an early refresh to the Air's .

Samsung lawyers recently asked the court to make Apple show them their yet to be announced iPhone 5 and iPad 3, they claim that this is just to avoid any future lawsuits and similarities. Only if it was this easy......

It may not be as big a surprise as Google hoped it would be at this point, but the company has now officially announced its NFC-based Google Wallet mobile payment service, complete with backing from a number of retail and financial partners including Subway, Macy's, Walgreens, Toys 'R Us, First Data, Citibank and MasterCard -- plus Sprint on the carrier side. In the case of MasterCard, that partnership means Google Wallet will be fully compatible with the PayPass contactless payment system that's already widely in place today. Trials are beginning immediately in New York and San Francisco, with a full release planned for this summer. Initially, the Sprint Nexus S 4G will be the only compatible phone, but support for more phones is promised "over time," and Google even suggested that phones without built-in NFC could simply use a NFC sticker( the Google Wallet app itself will work on non-NFC phones as well). Yep, you gessed it, it's another store within a store at Amazon but its a Mac Download Store. Although it cannot be compared to Apple's own Mac App Store with just more than 250 titles but as always its a good start. They have offered a free download of Airport Mania and $5 off on your first purchase.

If you already didn't have trouble keeping up-to date with Sony's slim VAIO S series laptops, they launched another "SA" series which features a slim 13.3 inch ultraportable laptop, it is set to compete against the skinny Lenovo ThinkPad X1. It's got almost the same magnesium-and-alloy chassis as the VAIO SB series which was shown at CES 2011 but the SA is a hair thinner, at 0.95 inches and comes with AMD Radeon HD 6630 graphics and 1GB of video memory, 1600 x 900 resolution, a 500GB hard drive, a fingerprint reader and a Blue-ray drive, which as mentioned I don't like. The SA's starting price is a whopping $1,350 which would effect your wallet or you could just sell one of your hand stating its "ultraportable", you would just need one hand to carry it.....

Nokia took over the mobile-phone market in its early stages. It completely blasted away all competitors in mostly Asia and Europe but found it hard to clinch American buyers. Nokia's market in Pakistan was and still somewhat is at its peak. around 2007- 2008 90% of the people had Nokia phones, being cheap, useful and well made the Pakistani industry was flooded with Nokia. The end of 2008 saw Pakistani markets being invaded with imported Android and iOS phones. These phones, being imported from the USA attracted every person interest and slowly that 90% of Nokia's market now came down to 50%. Nokia started to have trouble competing with smart-phone manufacturers like HTC, Samsung... now using Android, but their biggest threat was Apple who introduced their first phone in 2007. The iPhone 5 rumours keep coming in and we have another one for you. This picture straight from China shows a normal iPhone back cover but with a small cut-out on the far corner away from the camera. Predictions are that Apple decided to place the Flash further away from the camera, why? It would maybe capture better pictures. Apple knows! 

Apple just "updated" their stores and they decided to get rid of paper! Details, information and specifications are now shown on iPad's. So every item, a MacBook, iPhone, yes, even an iPad is surrounded with iPad's showing details. HTC claims that their new tablet called the Flyer will beat the iPad 2 and will be number 1. The Flyer features a 7 inch touch screen with a resolution 1024 X 600.1.5 GHz processor with support for Adobe Flash and HTML5,stereo speakers. It also has a 5 megapixel back camera with a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. Internal storage of 32 GB with a memory expansion slot. The "Magic Pen" is an accessory worth reading about that is used like a stylus. Will it beat the iPad 2 or will the tablet that started it all still remain the best? Lets wait and see!

This years World Wide Developers Conference is to be held in the beginning of June and as always we will be focusing on Apple. Apple's event is to be expected to feature their new Mac OSX software "Lion", although featured before, this time they would give an in-depth presentation, demo and announce its availability, now being sold on the Mac App Store. It is expected that it may have a late release date of September. The iPhone 5 is expected to have a new design but more on that later.

The iPhone 4 was a complete success, selling 1.7 million units in its first 3 days. Then the long awaited rumor of the Verizon iPhone was fulfilled. This June/July we await the iPhone 5, rumors are already out but lets glance thorugh what I would like to see. The iPhone 5 has rumors of being without a home button or a change of design. I think that the current design is perfect, what they really need to work on is getting to better networks who have better signals so that the 'death signal' or 'antennagate' as some people call it, should be resolved. 3-D without glasses would be really amazing on such a small device. Following the accelerometer then the gyro-scope, something new would be great to see to improve game play. The resolution has nothing to change, already being the best resolution in the world after even beating the human eye! Face time should be compatible with other phones on different networks instead of being Apple to Apple, like we can use the Skype

 The rumor of Apple releasing its iPhone to different networks since the first iPhone, well that rumor has just been nailed because the iPhone is now on Verizon. Much has not changed except that now it is a CDMA phone, surprisingly not LTE. the antenna has changed a little, moving the volume buttons and mute switch, just hardly a centimeter. The big problem/confusion in the minds of people is whether to switch to the Verizon iPhone or to wait a few months for the iPhone 5 which is usually refreshed sometime in June/July. We have got another post on what to expect on the iPhone 5 or what I would love to see. I would say to wait for the iPhone 5 because well, patience is the key to success.

 2010 was a milestone for technology, introducing the world to the tablet PC, making the controller your body and so on. Apple was rapidly inventing new things. iPad was not one of the first tablets around but was the first successful  one, selling about 7 million in the last quarter. They introduced the new MacBook Air, a device so powerful yet so sleek and slim. Rumors of the iPhone coming to another network were around since the first iPhone, and they still go on. Microsoft was on top too with their Microsoft Kinect, a motion controller that lets your body be the controller. Although a very limited amount of games are out, they have a strong future ahead of them. They also introduced the new xbox 360 slim, which had its hard buttons removed by touch sensitive ones, in-built wifi and well, just slimmer. Other big companies came to the war with smartphones, like HTC, Samsung, Nokia e.t.c The biggest flop and knockout of 2010 has to be the e-pad with the Chinese behind its wires.
